Forbs journalist Mark Hughes recently posted on Twitter that Ben Affleck will not play the role of a superhero in the new Batman movie.
As Mark wrote in the post, at the moment Ben's replacement has not yet been found, but it is not planned to attract him for filming. As it turned out, the actor over the past few months was thinking about leaving the franchise. Apparently, fans of movies about Batman will have to get used to his new film incarnation.
July 30, Hughes continued to develop the theme with the replacement of Ben Affleck, publishing an article with his views on who would best fit the role of Bruce Wayne. The journalist singled out 10 actors, among whom he especially noted Jack O'Connell ("Uncompromised" and "From Call to Call"), Lucas Hedges ("Manchester by the Sea") and Joseph Dempsey ("Game of Thrones" and "Milksweeps").
Rumors that Ben Affleck would no longer play the Dark Knight went for a long time. But earlier he denied this information. However, as early as September 2017, the Hollywood Reporter published information that the actor leaves the role of Batman and intends to direct his own DC films.
